Overview
ONLINE
PHASE:
1 The Language of Cinema Why traditional film
grammar is non-negotiable in AI filmmaking. Shot vocabulary, the 180° rule,
screen direction, coverage, eye-line matching. Understanding that AI generates
— directors decide.
2 Cinematography as Emotional Language Lens choice,
depth of field, and lighting as storytelling tools. Hard vs soft light, colour
temperature, motivated sources. The 5 synthetic tells of AI footage and how to
eliminate them through cinematographic thinking.
3 World Building & Character Design Building
consistent, believable universes. Visual bibles, location design, environment
as character. AI cast creation — solving the character consistency problem
across scenes and lighting conditions.
4 Prompting as Direction The full architecture of a
cinematic prompt. Scene → shot → frame → technical hierarchy. Directing
performance, continuity, and style through language. What to exclude matters as
much as what to include.
5 Workflow & Post-Production The complete
pipeline from script to delivery. Editing rhythm, colour grading AI footage,
sound design as the emotional spine. Elevated Realism colour philosophy. Output
formats and platform delivery specs.
6 Pre-Production Lock Each participant develops and
pitches their offline film project. Visual bible, shot list, character cards,
and location design locked before the offline phase begins. No one enters Day 7
without a production-ready brief.
OFFLINE
PHASE DAYS 7–10 · FULL DAY ·
7-8 Production Full AI generation sprint across both
days. All shots produced, continuity checked, reshoots done. Rough assembly at
end of each day with individual instructor reviews.
9 Post-Production Colour grade, sound design, Foley,
final cut locked. Each participant prepares a short workflow presentation for Day
10.
10 Showcase Professional screening of all films.
Each participant presents their workflow — concept to final cut.
Structured critique from instructors and peers. Closing discussion on building
a body of work in AI cinema.
