 (21) Course Overview

The Script to Screen Workshop is a hands on 7 day filmmaking journey for anyone curious about stories, cinema and the joy of making something from scratch. An idea can come from anywhere: a memory, a conversation, a newspaper article or a simple “what if.” Participants will explore how to develop an idea into a script. They will then move through directing, cinematography, editing and sound design, while learning how each stage of filmmaking connects to the next. Through discussions, screenings, practical exercises and collaborations with fellow filmmakers, participants will gain both creative and technical skills while experiencing the complete process of taking a story from the page to the screen. The entire workshop is designed to be completed using only a mobile phone, showing that cinema can be created with simple, accessible tools we use every day.
