FTII REACHES HALDWANI, UTTARAKHAND 
 
5-day Film Appreciation course by Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune  began in Haldwani, Uttarakhand today with 30 participants from 8 states in attendance.
 
It was inaugurated by Amit Srivastav, SP (City) Haldwani in the presence of Sanjay Chandekar, Head of Radio FTII and Course Directors Pankaj Saxena & Munish Bhardwaj.
 
Participants are from Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharastra, Kerala, Haryana and Delhi.
 
The Film Appreciation course is being held in association with Nainital-based Himalayan Society for Art,Culture,Education, Environment and Film Development (HIMACEEF), promoted by Cinematographer Rajesh Shah
(FTII, Cinematography,1992) and National Award-winning film maker Shalini Shah.
 
Pankaj Saxena (FTII, Film Direction,1984) Course Director is a film maker, TV  programmer and film academic based in New Delhi. In a professional career spanning over three decades he has served at Discovery Channel, BBC Worldwide Channels and  Lok Sabha Television.
 
Munish Bhardwaj (FTII, Direction, 1996) has  worked on films of directors Rajat Kapoor, Kumar Shahani, Mani Kaul and Sashi Kumar. Munish was the Executive Producer of the critically acclaimed 2013 Rajat Kapoor directed ANKHON DEKHI. He has also written for TV series such as  BHANWAR, RAJDHANI and HADSA. He debuted as Director with Hindi film MOH MAYA MONEY.
