Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune invites the general public to visit the spectacular Raj Ghat replica set up at the Institute's gate, and pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his Martyrdom Day tomorrow, 30th January.
Conceptualized by FTII's Dept. of Art Direction and Production Design, the exhibit is a replica of the black marble platform that marks the spot of Gandhiji's cremation, a day after his assassination on 30th January 1948.
The Raj Ghat memorial bears the epitaph 'Hē Ram'. These were the last words spoken by Gandhiji.
