The six-day Master Class series organized by Film and Television Institute of India, Pune as a part of  birth centenary celebrations of Satyajit Ray concluded on June 11, 2022 with Ganga Mukhi’s session on directorial practice of Ray. The entire series was received well by film enthusiasts and students of Pune.

On June 9, 2022, veteran actor Dr Mohan Agashe, who has also acted in Ray’s Sadgati interacted with Dr Milind Damle. Dr Damle began the discussion with various adaptations of literature by Ray in his movie. As a surprise to the audience, Dr Agashe displayed the letter written by Ray inviting him to act in the movie.

The series began with the session on Editorial Practice of Ray by A.V. Narayan on June 6, 2022. Milind Bapat delivered a lecture on the Expressive Use of Sound in Ray’s films on June 7, 2022. Next day, on 8th June, 2022, the audience experienced a unique multimedia demonstration on Subrata shoots for Satyajit Ray by Prashantanu Mohapatra & Hiroo Keswani. Ujjwal Gawand on June 10, 2022 covered the elements of art in the movies of maestro.

All six sessions were open to the public and were held at the Manohar Shyam Joshi Preview Theatre in the campus.
