ADMISSION NOTICE FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS (2019)

Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, an Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, invites applications for admission of self-sponsored and ICCR sponsored foreign nationals to the following courses.

* Out of these 2 (two) seats, 1 (one) seat is reserved for ICCR sponsored candidate. In case the seat remains vacant, it can be filled up by the Foreign National candidate (self-sponsored). Eligible self-sponsored foreign national candidates will be interviewed by way of Video conference / telephone call at the appointed hour which will be intimated to them by email in advance, whereas, ICCR sponsored candidates will be selected / admitted as per ICCR rules.

Important Notes

Applications of foreign nationals nominated by ICCR scholarship scheme and foreign nationals without scholarship (self-sponsored) shall be entertained for all one-year PG certificate course in television of the Institute for admissions of year 2019.

1. Prospectus for admissions 2019 of all PG Diploma and Certificate courses in both Film and Television, is available on the website www.ftii.ac.in

2. All Foreign National candidates are advised to go through the relevant pages and portions of PG Certificate course in Television to get an idea regarding the courses offered.

3. Foreign nationals with foreign degree must meet the minimum educational requirements. The Degrees / Certificates of the candidates must have been recognized and approved by the AIU i.e. Association of Indian Universities. (All foreign nationals with foreign qualifications are required to submit the equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with the application form.)

4. Final results would be declared by 2nd week of July 2019.

5. Course will commence from mid-August 2019.

6. Application will be available on www.ftii.ac.in and can be filled either directly or in the case ICCR scholarship apply through the Indian High Commission / Embassy as the case may be in their respective countries to ICCR, Government of India and then ICCR will forward the application to FTII Pune.

7. A separate email will be send to the applicants (self-sponsored foreign national candidates) regarding admission procedure including interview dates as and when necessary.

8. Fee structure applicable to the foreign national students (self-sponsored) is 6 times the fees for Indian national students.

9. Payment of Fees [For all PG certificate course in television programmes] -- All selected self-sponsored foreign nationals will be required to pay fee as follows:

(a) Tuition Fees: Rs. 424434/- towards one-time Admission / tuition fees, deposits and other charges.

(b) Hostel Fees: Rs. 285504/- towards one-time hostel-admission fees, deposits and other charges.

10. The inter-se merit among the applicants of various foreign nationals will be decided by the FTII, which shall be deemed final.

11. Documents to be uploaded with online application.

(a) Scanned copies of Certificate of Secondary School, Diplomas and Degrees of examination passed.

(b) Scanned copies of credentials regarding his/ her knowledge of English Language.

General Requirements from Foreign National candidates

1. They should hold a valid foreign passport.

2. Visa requirements: It may also be noted that the student who is finally admitted to the institute must have passport clearly showing a student visa for one year post graduate programmes. In case of students from the restricted countries, the student / the respective Embassy should forward, before joining the Institute, the clearance and No Objection Certificate from the Ministry of External Affairs (without the NOC and Ministry clearance, admission will not be confirmed).

3. The Academic Rules & Regulations applicable to Indian students with regard to eligibility, evaluation, discipline etc. are applicable to foreign students also.

4. At the time of admission the candidate should have valid residential permit in India granted for studies or a Student Visa for the prescribed duration of the concerned programme.

5. An undertaking / declaration that all the information given / furnished by the candidate if found incorrect or false or any information or particulars have been suppressed or omitted, his / her candidature or admission will be cancelled immediately and fees paid will be forfeited. Also he / she shall be debarred from admission to this institute in future.

General Notes

Candidates admitted to any Course / programme in FTII Pune shall not be eligible to pursue simultaneously any other full-time course in this or in any other University / Institution. On the basis of the letters of admission issued by this Institute, applicants should contact Indian Embassy / High Commission in their respective countries for obtaining Student Visa for study at FTII Pune. Any Foreign National candidate having visa of any other type will be refused admission at FTII Pune. Fees are payable at the time of Registration, failing which, they will not be registered for the programme.
