Basic Course on Introduction to Animation Techniques for Children in Pune from 13^th to 17^th May 2025

Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune under its ‘Centre For Open Learning (CFOL)’ program, announces Short Course exclusively for children –Basic Course on Introduction to Animation Techniques for Children in Pune, Maharashtra.

Following are the details in this regard;

1. Name of the Course: Basic Course on Introduction to Animation Techniques for Children
2. Dates: 13^th to 17^th May 2025 (Tuesday to Saturday)
3. Timings: 10 am to 5.30 pm (lunch break from 1.30 pm to 02.30 pm)
4. Age of Participants: 08 years completed to 17 years running as on 01^st May 2025
5. No. of participants: 16 (Course may not be conducted if there are less than 13 participants).
6. Educational Qualification: 03^rd std. pass. In exceptional cases, 02^nd std. may be considered
7. Nationality: Indian
8. Medium of Instructions: The medium of instruction would be English and Hindi. Participants are expected to have adequate knowledge of English and/ or Hindi as regards to reading, writing & speaking.
9. Venue: FTII’s Vijay Tendulkar Writers’ Academy campus, V Shantaram Film City (FTII Extended Campus), near Pune Doordarshan Kendra, opposite back gate of MIT WPU University, Rambaug Colony, Kothrud, Pune
10. Per Participant Course fee: Rs 7,500/-

     Course fee is excluding breakfast, lunch, tea/ coffee, snacks etc.

Course fee of selected participants will be non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-adjustable, etc. under any circumstances. Course fee of all the non – selected participants will be refunded within 21 working days of the course commencement. Also, due to any reason, if the course is cancelled by FTII, course fee will be refunded.

12. Due date & time: 03^rd April 2025, 6 pm IST. Application submitted after due date & time will not be considered.
13. Selection Criteria: On First – Come – First – Served Basis.
14. Course Director: Mandar Digrajkar

Mandar Digrajkar, working with FTII, Pune as Associate Professor and HoD of TV Graphics department since 2011, with overall 24 years of professional and academic experience in this field.

He holds Diploma in Commercial Arts, Advanced Diploma in Computer Animation from C-DAC, Masters Degree in Indology and Masters Degree in Fine Arts. Currently he serves as Guide for NFDC-NFAI fellowship program.

15. How to apply:

2. Search/Find FTII Fees Account in Educational institutions name and click submit.

3. In the payment category select “C1 Basic Course in Animation for Children”

4. Fill-up the application form with requisite details and proceed for payment.

5. Make necessary payment of Rs 7,500/-.

6. Once payment is done, please note "SBcollect Reference Number" (mentioned in payment confirmation receipt). This may be required for future reference. 

7. If possible, digitally store the receipt of payment. This can be carried out in one of the following ways;

(i) by taking printout of receipt of payment, scan & save it

(ii) by taking screenshot of payment (if using mobile) or printscreen (if using computer)

(iii) by simply taking a photograph from mobile

8. No document/ certificate related to educational qualification, age etc. is to be attached. Participants’ self – declaration in the application form is sufficient.

9. Terms & conditions: By agreeing to the terms & conditions in the application form, participants are confirming that they have read & understood the website advt. They are eligible to apply and fulfil all the requirements as stated in the advt. Also, it is presumed that participants will be staying and or attending the course at their own risk & cost and FTII will not be held responsible for anything or matter of what-so-ever nature. Further, participants agree that decision of FTII Director regarding admission to the course and its conduction in all respect will be final.

16. Communication with participants: All communications with the participants will be carried out through email only. List of shortlisted participants may be published on FTII website and selection email will be sent to the selected participants on their registered email id.
17. Accommodation: As the course is non – residential, no accommodation would be provided or arranged. Participants need to make their own lodging & boarding arrangements at their own cost.
18. Participants need to assure general decency, decorum etc. on the campus. Failing to do so will lead to cancellation of admission without refunding course fee apart from taking internal disciplinary action and dealing the matter as per law of the land. All rights in this regard are reserved with FTII.
19. Certificates: Participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course which will carry logo of FTII & CFOL and will be jointly signed by FTII Director and the Course Director. Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory to get certificate.

Any dispute concerning CFOL short courses would be subject to jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of Pune city only.
