Basic Acting Workshop for Children in Delhi from 12-21 June 2025

Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune under its ‘Centre For Open Learning (CFOL)’ program, announces on-campus Short Course exclusively for children – Basic Acting Workshop for Children at Triveni Kala Sangam Delhi.

Following are the details in this regard;

1. Name of the Course: Basic Acting Workshop for Children
2. Dates: 12-21 June 2025 (including Saturdays & Sundays)
3. Timings: 09.30 am to 05.00 pm (lunch break from 12.30 pm to 01.30 pm)
4. Age of Participants:
5. (a) 08 years completed to 13 years running as on 01^st June 2025 – Morning batch
6. (b) 13 completed to 17 years running as on 01^st June 2025 – Afternoon batch
7. Timings:

1. 09.30 am – 12.30 pm – Morning batch and
2. 02.00 to 5.00 pm – Afternoon batch

8. No. of participants: Up to 25 in Morning batch & Up to 25 in Afternoon batch. Course will not be conducted if there are less than 20 participants per batch.
9. Educational Qualification: 03^rd std. pass. In exceptional cases, 02^nd std. may be considered
10. Nationality: Indian
11. Medium of Instructions: The medium of instruction would be English and Hindi. Participants are expected to have adequate knowledge of English and/ or Hindi as regards to reading, writing & speaking.
12. Venue: Triveni Auditorium, Triveni Kala Sangam, 205, Tansen Marg, Todermal Road Area, Mandi House, Delhi, 110001
13. Per Participant Course fee: Rs 10,000/-

     Course fee is excluding breakfast, lunch, tea/ coffee, snacks etc.

Course fee of selected participants will be non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-adjustable, etc. under any circumstances. Course fee of all the non – selected participants will be refunded within 21 working days of the course commencement. Also, due to any reason, if the course is cancelled by FTII, course fee will be refunded.

15. Due date & time: 12 May 2025, 6 pm IST. Application submitted after due date & time will not be considered.

18. How to apply:

2. Search/Find FTII Fees Account in Educational institutions name and click submit.

3. In the payment category select “O3 Basic Acting Workshop for Children in Delhi”

4. Fill-up the application form with requisite details and proceed for payment.

5. Make necessary payment of Rs 10,000/-.

6. Once payment is done, please note "SBcollect Reference Number" (mentioned in payment confirmation receipt). This may be required for future reference. 

7. If possible, digitally store the receipt of payment. This can be carried out in one of the following ways;

(i) by taking printout of receipt of payment, scan & save it

(ii) by taking screenshot of payment (if using mobile) or printscreen (if using computer)

(iii) by simply taking a photograph from mobile

8. No document/ certificate related to educational qualification, age etc. is to be attached. Participants’ self – declaration in the application form is sufficient.

9. Terms & conditions: By agreeing to the terms & conditions in the application form, participants are confirming that they have read & understood the website advt. They are eligible to apply and fulfil all the requirements as stated in the advt. Also, it is presumed that participants will be staying and or attending the course at their own risk & cost and FTII will not be held responsible for anything or matter of what-so-ever nature. Further, participants agree that decision of FTII Director regarding admission to the course and its conduction in all respect will be final.

19. Communication with participants: All communications with the participants will be carried out through email only. List of shortlisted participants may be published on FTII website and selection email will be sent to the selected participants on their registered email id.
20. Accommodation: As the course is non – residential, no accommodation would be provided or arranged. Participants need to make their own lodging & boarding arrangements at their own cost.
21. Participants need to assure general decency, decorum etc. on the campus. Failing to do so will lead to cancellation of admission without refunding course fee apart from taking internal disciplinary action and dealing the matter as per law of the land. All rights in this regard are reserved with FTII.
22. Certificates: Participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course which will carry logo of FTII & CFOL and will be jointly signed by FTII Director and the Course Director. Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory to get certificate.

Course Overview

The workshop has been designed to open up the creative aspects in terms of body, voice and craft keeping in mind the various aspects of the audio visual medium.

Using crafted exercises, theater games, activities and assignments the participants creative faculties would be shaped to be used in a performance and to develop confidence in common life situations also, improvisations and role play would help them develop personality traits that would have many practical applications.
