Basic Course in Film Direction at Subhashchandra Bose Film and Television Institute, Lucknow, from 16-20 December 2024
Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) under its Centtre for Open Learning (CFOL) initiative, in association with Subhashchandra Bose Film and Television Institute (SCBFTI), Lucknow, announces ‘’Basic Course in Film Direction’’ to be conducted at SCBFTI Campus, Lucknow.
Following are the details in this regard;
- Name of the Course: Basic Course in Film Direction
- Dates: 16-20 December 2024
- Timings: 10 am to 5 pm (1 pm to 2 pm will be lunch break)
- Maximum no. of participants: 24 (Course will be conducted only if minimum strength of 20 is reached)
- Selection Criteria: On First – Come – First – Served Basis.
- Age: 18 years & above as on 01st December 2024 (participants born on or before 30 Nov. 2006)
- Educational Qualification: HSC (12th pass). In exceptional cases, 10th pass may be considered
- Nationality: Indian
- Medium of Instructions: English and Hindi.
- Venue: Subhash Chandra Bose Film & Television Institute (SCBFTI), Prabandh Nagar, Mubarakpur, IIM Road, Near IIM Lucknow, Lucknow.
- Per Participant Course fee: Rs 9,000/-
Course fee of selected participants will be non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-adjustable, etc. under any circumstances. Course fee of all the non – selected participants will be refunded within 21 working days of the course commencement.
Course fee is excluding breakfast, lunch, tea/ coffee, snacks etc.
- Mode of payment: Online through SBI Collect
- Due date & time: 02 December 2024, 6 pm IST. Application submitted after due date & time will not be considered.
- Communication with participants: All communications with the participants will be carried out through email only. List of shortlisted participants will be published on FTII website. Selection email will be sent to the selected participants on their registered email id.
- Certificates: Participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course. Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory to get certificate.

- His films have achieved theatrical acclaim and won various international film awards across the globe.
- A prolific film direction course director known for his strong visual sense of the cinematic medium.
- As a guest faculty member at FTII - SKIFT (now CFOL), has led various film related workshops nationwide.
18. Lodging and Boarding: Outstation participants need to carry out their own arrangement of lodging and boarding at their own cost.

19. How to apply :
1. Click open the link - https://www.onlinesbi.sbi/sbicollect/icollecthome.htmOR visit www.onlinesbi.com and further click on “SB Collect” which is at the top left, vertically 06th from left to right.
. In the Search box, search/Find FTII Fees Account and click submit.
2. In the payment category select “O1 Basic Course in Film Direction in Lucknow”.
3. Fill-up the application form with requisite details and proceed for payment.
4. Make necessary payment of Rs 9,000/-.
5. Once payment is done, please note "SBcollect Reference Number" (mentioned in payment confirmation receipt). This may be required for future reference.
6. If possible, digitally store the receipt of payment. This can be carried out in one of the following ways;
(i) by taking printout of receipt of payment, scan & save it
(ii) by taking screenshot of payment (if using mobile) or printscreen (if using computer)
(iii) by simply taking a photograph from mobile
7. No document/ certificate related to educational qualification, age etc. is to be attached. Participants’ self – declaration in the application form is sufficient.
