Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune under its ‘Centre For Open Learning (CFOL)’ announces course in “Basic Course in Screen Acting” from 19 – 25 February 2026 in Lucknow.

Following are the details in this regard;

  1. Name of the Course: Basic Course in Screen Acting
  2. Dates: 19 – 25 February 2026 (07 days)
  3. Timings: 10 am to 5 pm
  4. Minimum no. of participants: 25 (Course may not be conducted if there are less than 15 participants)
  5. Age: 18 years & above as on 01st February 2026
  6. Educational Qualification: HSC (12th pass). In exceptional cases, 10th pass may be considered
  7. Nationality: Indian
  8. Medium of Instructions: English & Hindi
  9. Venue: Mahendra Education Pvt Ltd., 3rd Floor, Bhootnath Mandir Market, B-17 Krishna Bazaar, near Bhootnath Metro, Indira Nagar, Lucknow.
  10. Per Participant Course fee: Rs 7,000/- 

                                   Rs 5,000/- per participant for Ex Servicemen/ wards/ dependents of Serving / Retired Armed Forces Personnel / War Widows. All subject to document verification by UP Rajya Sainik Board.

     Course fee is excluding lunch, tea/ coffee, snacks etc.

Note: Course fee of selected participants will be non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-adjustable, etc. under any circumstances Course fee of all the non – selected participants will be returned within 21 working days of the course commencement.

However, due to any reason, if the course is postponed OR cancelled by the organisers, course fee will be refunded.

  1. Mode of payment: Online through SBI Collect (along with application form).
  2. Due date & time to submit online application: 28th Jan. 2026, 6 pm IST. Application submitted after due date & time will not be considered.
  3. Selection Criteria: On First – Come – First – Served Basis. List of selected participants will be published on our website and selection emails will also be sent to all the selected participants.

(14) Certificates: All participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course.  Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory to get certificate.

(18) Course Director: Ms Hima Singh

 

Hima Singh, an alumna of FTII, is popularly known for her performances in Films, Television, Theatre and TVC's. She is also a Trained Kathak Dancer. She is well known for her Film Mission Raniganj -directed by Tinu Suresh Desai.Her Film Love and Shukla World Premiered at BIFF, South Korea,released on Netflix and is a Winner of Netpac Award. Dahan, on Hotstar, Sab-Satrangi on Sab TV, Crimes Aajkal on PrimeVideo, Bagiya Bacharam ki, on Zee5, are among her remarkable works. She has done several TV Episodics and Short Films that got screened at International Film Festivals and other's are successfully running on OTT platforms.

Hima is also a recognized voiceover artist and a diction - acting coach, famous for her diction training in Film like MIMI.

2. Fill-up the application form with requisite details and proceed for payment.

3. Make necessary payment of Rs 7,000/- OR Rs 5,000/- as the case may be.

4. Once payment is done, please note "SBI collect Reference Number" (mentioned in payment confirmation receipt). This may be required for future reference. 

5. If possible, digitally store the receipt of payment. This can be carried out in one of the following ways;

(i) by taking printout of receipt of payment, scan & save it

(ii) by taking screenshot of payment (if using mobile) or print screen (if using computer)

(iii) by simply taking a photograph from mobile

6. No document/ certificate related to educational qualification, age etc. is to be attached. Participants’ self – declaration in the application form is sufficient.

An acting workshop focussing on the fundamentals and foundational elements that form the core of Acting. Working on Imagination and Observation, Sense Memory, Movement and Improvisations, developing spontaneity and creative choices that help achieve truthful portrayal of characters, emphasizing on self awareness through Practical Exercises.
