Basic Course in Screen Acting in Surat, Gujarat, from 06th to 16th May 2025
Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, under its ‘Centre For Open Learning (CFOL)’ initiative in association with Sanjeev Kumar Foundation, Surat, announces “Basic Course in Screen Acting” from 06th to 16th May 2025 on Sanskar Bharti Vidyalaya Campus, Surat, Gujarat.
Following are the details in this regard:
- Name of the Course: Basic Course in Screen Acting
- Dates: 06th to 16th May 2025 (Except Sunday 11th May 2025)
- Timings: 10 am to 5.30 pm (1 pm to 2 pm will be lunch break)
- Maximum no. of participants: 24 (Course may not be conducted if minimum strength of 20 participants is not reached)
- Selection Criteria: On First – Come – First – Served Basis.
- Age: 18 years & above as on 01st May 2025 (participants born on or before 30th April 2007)
- Educational Qualification: HSC (12th pass). In exceptional cases, 10th pass may be considered
- Nationality: Indian
- Medium of Instructions: English and Hindi.
- Venue: Sanskar Bharti Vidyalaya Campus, New Rander Road, Palanpur Patia, Tadwadi, Surat, Gujarat 395009
- Per Participant Course fee: Rs 14,000/-
Course fee of selected participants will be non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-adjustable, etc. under any circumstances. Course fee of all the non – selected participants will be refunded within 21 working days of the course commencement.
However, due to any reason, if the course is postponed OR cancelled by the organisers, course fee will be refunded.
Course fee is excluding breakfast, lunch, tea/ coffee, snacks etc.

- Due date & time: 03rd April 2025, 6 pm IST. Application submitted after due date & time will not be considered.
- Communication with participants: All communications with the participants will be carried out through email only. List of shortlisted participants will be published on FTII website. Selection email will be sent to the selected participants on their registered email id.
- Certificates: Participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course. Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory to get certificate.

- Limited Hostel accommodation for outstation participants (Optional): In dormitory on nominal charges by Sanjeev Kumar Foundation. Lunch on nominal charges may be provided (optional) by Sanjeev Kumar Foundation but participants need to inform the same a day in advance. As regards to breakfast and dinner, participants need to carry-out their own arrangement. Hostel accommodation charges as well as lunch charges is to be paid directly to the Sanjeev Kumar Foundation and payment details will be shared separately with the participants who are selected & who need said services on first come first served basis.
- Course Director: Mr. Nitin Mane
Nitin Mane is an MA in theatre and an MFA in Acting from Louisiana State University in the USA. He is a passionate teacher who has worked with NGOs, Schools, and Colleges. He was faculty of Screen Acting at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He taught acting at Annapurna College of Film and Media, Hyderabad. He was faculty at Amity School of Film and Media, Noida, where he developed curriculums for the Acting Degree program.
He has worked as acting coach for film projects and casting agencies such as Modelz World casting agency in Hyderabad. Nitin Mane has performed in India as well as internationally. He has performed in films, television serials, and short films. He has performed in Marathi, Hindi, English, Telegu and Kannada languages. He has directed over 15 play productions and has performed in more than 30 play productions.
19. How to apply:

. In the Search box, search/Find FTII Fees Account and click submit.
2. In the payment category select “O1 Basic Course in Screen Acting (in Surat)”.
3. Fill-up the application form with requisite details and proceed for payment.
4. Make necessary payment of Rs 14,000/-.
5. Once payment is done, please note "SBcollect Reference Number" (mentioned in payment confirmation receipt). This may be required for future reference.
6. If possible, digitally store the receipt of payment. This can be carried out in one of the following ways;
(i) by taking printout of receipt of payment, scan & save it
(ii) by taking screenshot of payment (if using mobile) or printscreen (if using computer)
(iii) by simply taking a photograph from mobile
7. No document/ certificate related to educational qualification, age etc. is to be attached. Participants’ self – declaration in the application form is sufficient.
8. Terms & conditions: By agreeing to the terms & conditions in the application form, participants are confirming that they have read & understood the website advt. They are eligible to apply and fulfil all the requirements as stated in the advt. Also, it is presumed that participants will be staying and or attending the course at their own risk & cost and will not be held responsible for anything or matter of what-so-ever nature. Further, participants agree that decision of Director, FTII regarding admission to the course and its conduction in all respect will be final.
