Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune under its ‘Centre For Open Learning (CFOL)’ announces course in “Basic Course in Smartphone Filmmaking” from 15-19 December 2025 at Triveni Kala Sangam Delhi.
Following are the details in this regard;
- Name of the Course: Basic Course in Smartphone Filmmaking
- Dates: 15-19 December 2025 (05 days)
- Timings: 10 am to 5 pm (1 to 2 pm will be lunch break)
- Max. no. of participants: 30 (Course will be conducted only if min. strength of 24 participants is reached)
- Age: 18 years & above as on 1st December 2025 (participants born on or before 30th November 2007)
- Educational Qualification: HSC (12th pass). In exceptional cases, 10th pass may be considered
- Nationality: Indian
- Medium of Instructions: English & Hindi
- Venue: Triveni Auditorium, Triveni Kala Sangam, 205, Tansen Marg, Todermal Road Area, Mandi House, Delhi, 110001
- Per Participant Course fee: Rs 7,000/-
Course fee is excluding lunch, tea/ coffee, snacks etc.
Course fee of selected participants will be non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-adjustable, etc. under any circumstances Course fee of all the non – selected participants will be returned within 21 working days of the course commencement.
However, due to any reason, if the course is postponed OR cancelled by the organisers, course fee will be refunded.
- Mode of payment: Online through SBI Collect (along with application form).
- Due date & time to submit online application: 10 November, 2025, 6 pm IST. Application submitted after due date & time will not be considered.
- Selection Criteria: On First – Come – First – Served Basis. List of selected participants will be published on our website and selection emails will also be sent to all the selected participants.
(14) Certificates: All participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course. Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory to get certificate.

(16) Communication with participants: All communications with the participants will be carried out through email only. List of shortlisted participants will be published on FTII website and selection email will be sent to the selected participants on their registered email.
(17) Accommodation: Outstation participants may please note Triveni Kala Sangam may suggest accommodation near course in Delhi. Please contact Ms. Mudra Sharma from Triveni Kala Sangam, on 99588 31338 for the same.
(18) Course Director: Shri Sanjeev Sood
With over 38 years of experience in the motion picture industry across Mumbai, Delhi, and over 20 countries, Sanjeev Sood is a seasoned filmmaker, cinematographer, and academician. An alumnus of FTII, Pune, he has worked extensively as a Cinematographer, Director, and Producer, delivering high-value films, documentaries, television content, corporate films, and international co-productions.
Sood specializes in visual storytelling, lighting, digital cinematography, content strategy, and media management, with proven expertise in executing projects within time and budget while motivating teams under challenging conditions. His work spans documentaries, commercials, music videos, short films, feature films, and live broadcast events.
He has conducted masterclasses and workshops in leading institutes worldwide including NID Ahmedabad, ASMS Noida, Jindal Global University, FTII alumni forums, and universities in Nigeria, alongside his current role as Professor at Sharda University, Greater Noida.
His industry contributions include serving on film festival juries, advisory boards, and government panels, with recognition from IFFI, IDPA, and Films Division of India. His acclaimed works—such as documentaries released by Prime Minister A.B. Vajpayee and President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam—underscore his stature in the industry. Widely recognized for his eye for detail, mastery of light, and dedication to craft, Sood remains deeply engaged in new media, education, and global collaborations, while mentoring the next generation of filmmakers.
(19) How to apply:
1. Click open the link - https://onlinesbi.sbi.bank.in/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm OR visit www.onlinesbi.com and further click on “SB Collect” which is at the top left, vertically 06th from left to right.
. In the Search box, search/Find FTII Fees Account and click submit.
2. In the payment category select “O4 Basic Course in Samrtphone Filmmaking in Delhi”.
3. Fill-up the application form with requisite details and proceed for payment.
4. Make necessary payment of Rs 7,000/-
5. Once payment is done, please note "SBI collect Reference Number" (mentioned in payment confirmation receipt). This may be required for future reference.
6. If possible, digitally store the receipt of payment. This can be carried out in one of the following ways;
(i) by taking printout of receipt of payment, scan & save it
(ii) by taking screenshot of payment (if using mobile) or print screen (if using computer)
(iii) by simply taking a photograph from mobile
7. No document/ certificate related to educational qualification, age etc. is to be attached. Participants’ self – declaration in the application form is sufficient.
8. Terms & conditions: By agreeing to the terms & conditions in the application form, participants are confirming that they have read & understood the website advt. They are eligible to apply and fulfil all the requirements as stated in the advt. Further, participants agree that decision of FTII Director regarding admission to the course and its conduction in all respect will be final.
