What fun it would be to visit the locations where Vijay Anand shot one of the landmark songs of not only his career but of Hindi cinema ‘Katon Se Khinch Ke Aanchal’ and many iconic scenes from Guide (1965) produced by none other than Dev Anand for Navketan. It’s been 60 years that the audiences are cherishing every bit of the timeless classic, not only in India but across the world. The film lovers have the songs by heart not only by lyrics but also with the preludes and interludes. There are stories on and off screen told and retold over these many years and for sure they will continue forever.
Guide is a landmark film, it explored new path. The journey for ‘Raju’ was not easy, in the novel form it began in Malgudi, a fictional place and on celluloid it reached Udaipur, a real place. Not many of us have also seen Raju speaking his dialogues in English in the English version of the film with the same title written by Pearl S. Buck and directed by Tad Danielewski.
In the diamond jubilee year of Guide, here is an exclusive opportunity to revisit the timeless classic while not only appreciating the melodious songs and dramatic scenes but exploring all the possible location in Chittorgarh and Udaipur over four days.
We do not want to miss this opportunity to stand the same place where Vijay Anand stood and called out Action witnessing magic in front of the camera as Waheeda ji danced on the tunes of S D Burman with Lata ji singing for her the opening lines of the longest song of Hindi cinema ‘Piya Tose Naina Lage Re’!
Come join us as the Guide leads us on this special trip, which can’t be recreated in any other place than Mewar!
