Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune under its ‘Centre For Open Learning (CFOL)’ announces “Workshop on Script to Screen (Only for Women)” in Pune from 20 – 29 January 2026 at Vijay Tendulkar Writer’s Academy, Rambaug Colony, Near Doordarshan Kendra, Kothrud, Pune .
Following are the details in this regard;
- Name of the Course: Workshop on Script to Screen (Only for Women)
- Dates: 20th to 29th January 2026 (10 days)
- Timings: 10 am to 5 pm
- Max. no. of seats: 24 (Course may not be conducted if min. strength of 20 is reached)
- Age: 18 years & above as on 01st January 2026
- Educational Qualification: HSC (12th pass). In exceptional cases, 10th pass may be considered
- Nationality: Indian
- Medium of Instructions: English & Hindi
- Venue: Vijay Tendulkar Writer’s Academy, Rambaug Colony, Near Doordarshan Kendra, , Kothrud, Pune
- Per Participant Course fee: Rs 18,000/-
Course fee is excluding lunch, tea/ coffee, snacks etc.
Course fee of selected participants will be non-refundable, non-transferrable, non-adjustable, etc. under any circumstances Course fee of all the non – selected participants will be returned within 21 working days of the course commencement.
However, due to any reason, if the course is postponed OR cancelled by the organisers, course fee will be refunded.
- Mode of payment: Online through SBI Collect (along with application form).
- Due date & time to submit online application: 05th January, 2026, 6 pm IST. Application submitted after due date & time will not be considered.
- Selection Criteria: On First – Come – First – Served Basis. List of selected participants will be published on our website and selection emails will also be sent to all the selected participants.
- Certificates: All participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course. Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory to get certificate.

- Communication with participants: All communications with the participants will be carried out through email only. List of shortlisted participants will be published on FTII website and selection email will be sent to the selected participants on their registered email.
- Limited Hostel accommodation for outstation participants: Rs 3,300/- (Rs. 300/- per day for 11 days) on triple sharing basis at Vijay Tendulkar Writer’s Academy campus in Kothrud.
Hostel Accommodation Fee is excluding breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea/ coffee, snacks etc. Hostel accommodation fee payment details will be shared separately with the participants who are selected & who need said accommodation, on First come first served basis
- Course Director: Ms Teena Kaur Pasricha.
Teenaa Kaur Pasricha is a National Film Award-winning filmmaker, Screenwriter. She has received the coveted fellowship of Films for Social Change by US Government and been invited by Sundance Film festival, US in Jan 2020 (#IVLP) and Sundance Film festival. She has also been a Speaker on TEDX, Global Sikh Council, PK Nights advocating Sustainability and Social Change. Her latest film on finding love after breast cancer is doing the round of festivals, “What if I Tell You’/ Agar Mein Kahoo”.
Teenaa delves into the interconnectedness between these themes and social justice. Her work reflects her commitment to amplify voices that drive positive change.
She is having a wide range of experience in storytelling and films especially in Environment, Wildlife conservation, social justice. Her films have been broadcast on National Geographic, Fox History, Doordarshan and endorsed by Busan International film festival “AND FUND”, DOCWOK by DOC Leipzig Germany, PSBT India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
She was awarded the fellowship in screenplay writing from Asia Society, New York. She has worked with India’s largest Broadcaster, Zee TV in 2007 as a Promo Producer and a Core Team member of Trends Ad films on producing TV Commercials thereafter. She has studied Post Graduation in Mass Communication from Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi. She is a Production and Industrial Engineer from M.B.M Engineering College, Jodhpur that is a Regional Engineering College. She has been producing documentary films under her banner “Green Earth Pictures”.

3. Make necessary payment of Rs 18,000/-
4. Once payment is done, please note "SBI collect Reference Number" (mentioned in payment confirmation receipt). This may be required for future reference.
5. If possible, digitally store the receipt of payment. This can be carried out in one of the following ways;
(i) by taking printout of receipt of payment, scan & save it
(ii) by taking screenshot of payment (if using mobile) or print screen (if using computer)
(iii) by simply taking a photograph from mobile
6. No document/ certificate related to educational qualification, age etc. is to be attached. Participants’ self – declaration in the application form is sufficient.
7. Terms & conditions: By agreeing to the terms & conditions in the application form, participants are confirming that they have read & understood the website advt. They are eligible to apply and fulfil all the requirements as stated in the advt. Further, participants agree that decision of FTII Director regarding admission to the course and its conduction in all respect will be final.

2. Understanding various kinds and genres of documentary films
3. Various elements that make a film, from idea, script to screen
4. Researching, writing to your idea, and transforming it into a 2-minute film
5. Editing & Constructing Meaning
6. Feedback, Rewriting & Refinement of the films made.
