One Year PG Certificate Course in Sound Recording & Television Engineering
The Course in Sound Recording & TV Engineering exposes the students to various technical & aesthetic aspects of Sound, enabling them to create effective soundscapes. Television Engineering input related to present day television technology is also imparted for better understanding of technical issues. Working on state-of-the art equipments and studios, gives students the confidence to take up professional assignments. Interactions with the industry experts help them understand the current techniques and conventions prevalent in the field.

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.- as a subject at senior secondary (10+2) level
- Selection criteria for PG Course in Television
- Written examination Joint Entrance Test (JET) of 03 hours duration for 100 marks, conducted at examination centres around the country. This exam is only qualifying in nature and does not carry any weightage in further admission process. Qualifying Candidates in the written examination are further called for orientation, interview and Medical test which will be held at Pune. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of orientation and interview, with each stage carrying 50% weighting; subject to qualifying in medical test
The course is conducted in three phases.
Phase 1:
The first phase is common for students of all specializations, with the purpose of introducing the students to the basic concepts of audio – visual Programme making and familiarizes them with single-camera and multi-camera production techniques.
Phase 2:
The second phase emphasizes on development of skills in the various fields of specialization. Students attend workshops conducted by in-house faculty and Television professionals to acquaint themselves with production techniques of various programme formats and carry out co-ordinated exercises.
Phase 3:
In the final phase, students apply their understanding of the medium and skills developed in the earlier phases to undertake their course-end exercises. Students receive theoretical inputs and extensive hands-on training on state-of-the-art equipments through class room sessions, workshops, practicals, exercises with experienced in-house teachers and professionals from the industry.
