Screening Facilities

MT (Main Theatre)

The “daily screening” is a unique part of student life at the Institute. A variety of classics and contemporary national and international films are screened every evening from Monday to Friday either at the FTII Main Theatre or at the National Film Archive of India. In addition, Saturday screenings celebrate popular Indian cinema; ensuring that students remain grounded in the prevalent practice of film-making in the country. The ‘ Main theatre’ commonly known as ‘MT’ is equipped with 300 seats and has 35mm film projection as well as digital screening facility.

CRT (Class Room Theatre)

The ‘Classroom Theatre’  is one of the oldest classroom for all theory classes.

PT (Preview Theatre)

Situated at Television building, Preview Theatre is another screening facility cum classroom for the students. Preview theatre is equipped with 2k projection facility and 5.1 surround sound facility.

 
 
CRT 1 – Renu Saluja 

1) 35 mm Digital Projection screen.
2) 4K DCP Projector of Christie company
3) DLP Projector of Christie company
4) Total 104 seating capacity with fully air conditioned room.
5) Dolby Atmos surround sound system.
6) Wireless, lapples and handheld MICs are available.

CRT 2 – Shri Mani Kaul

1) These both Digital Classrooms are of same size with motorised prjection screen. 
2) The seating capacity is 23 seat with fully air conditioned.
3) Equipped with DLP Projector of Christie company with speaker sounds.
4) Wireless, lapples and handheld MICs are available.
 
CRT 3 Shri K.K.Mahajan.
 
1) These both Digital Classrooms are of same size with motorised prjection screen. 
2) The seating capacity is 23 seat with fully air conditioned.
3) Equipped with DLP Projector of Christie company with speaker sounds.
4) Wireless, lapples and handheld MICs are available.
Shri S.B. Thakkar, Discussion Room

This is the non AC discussion room of total 17 seater capacity.
